Stavri Mylona is a professionally registered dietitian in both the UK and Cyprus. She graduated from the University of Surrey with First Class Honours in 2013 and went on to gain extensive clinical experience in renowned London hospitals. Her early specialisation was in surgery and gastroenterology, managing conditions such as colon cancer, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. She later became the lead dietitian of the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
In recent years, Stavri has specialised in all forms of diabetes mellitus, including Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes, and Type 3c (associated with pancreatic disease and surgery). She is also a strong advocate of healthy, sustainable weight management. Additionally, she provides expert nutritional support for patients undergoing bariatric surgery or treatment with GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic, Saxenda, Victoza and the newer ones such as Mounjaro and Wegovy.
Stavri has received specialist training in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems, including Freestyle Libre, Dexcom, and GlucoMen Day CGM. She also offers structured carbohydrate counting education for children and families, supporting insulin-to-carb ratio assessments and correction factors for rapid-acting insulin.
After 10 years of clinical experience in the UK, Stavri returned to Cyprus, where she has been based at ScalaMed Clinic in Larnaca. She is also the co-founder of TheNutriduo, which is a social media platform created by two dietitians with the aim of making nutrition simpler and more accessible, through educational videos and practical, healthy recipes.
